Sleeping All Day is devoted to unusual films and the people who love them. The site focuses on undermentioned films (primarily from the 1960s - until recent), and interviews with wonderful and unique people in the "movie watching" business (ie rental houses and movie theaters, etc), along with strategies to cope with life when one isn't watching, best ways to watch, etc.

Rachel Walther has worked in the film watching business for over 12 years at places like the Music Box Theater and Facets in Chicago, and Amoeba Music and Le Video in San Francisco. Her photos and articles have been published by Vogue Italia, NPR, SFMOMA, California College of the Arts, the Film Noir Foundation, Akashic Books, Empty Cellar Records, Moholy Ground magazine, and the San Francisco Weekly. Currently she is a freelance writer and editor living in Alameda California. Please email at
